Field Repair-A-Palooza 2013

Updated: March 22, 2013

Every year the fields we use for NW Little League need repair beyond what the city can afford to do—filling holes, picking weeds, raking away big rocks, and more. This year we’re working on Soundview 2, 3 and 4, and also Crown Hill.

Please consider taking a few hours of your time to lend a hand! Volunteers should bring a rake and shovel (but we’ll have extras there as well). Got room for a wheelbarrow? Bring that too!

We’ll also be building a new hitting surface for the batting cage at Soundview, so toss in a hammer as well.

All of the construction materials are provided—dirt, 2x4s, plywood, glue, stakes. The only missing ingredient is you.

The fun begins on Saturday March 30th at 10 a.m. when we’ll meet to fix the batting cage (in case you aren’t familiar with Soundview, the batting cage is near the Whitman School parking lot). This work should be wrapped up by around noon.

Then on Sunday, April 7th, we’ll meet at 9 a.m. on Soundview 1 to start the field repair work and will wrap this up around noon.

Thanks, and hope to see you there!
